Through organizational simulation, reflective exercises and conversation, physicians will gain understanding of the systems’ components and of the leadership role they can play in addressing systemic challenges.
Learning outcomes:
- Examine the complexities and challenges within the Canadian health system.
- Discuss strategies to effectively navigate challenges and respond to them.
- Practice sense-making to guide decisions in simple, complicated, complex and chaotic systems.
- Apply skills to influence individuals’ and systems’ patterns that make them resistant to systemic change.
- Use systems thinking as a framework for managing organizational and systemic change
